For a business to achieve maximum utilization of human resources there must be a well defined way of delegation. Delegation helps all the employees feel that they have an input in the organization, hence minimizing the chances of having people with low morale.
It is necessary that you delegate so that you can give opportunities for your staff to grow and become product in their respective arena.
When you are delegating, it does not mean that you are running away from thee responsibility.
It simply means that you are only trying to maximize your input. The following points will lead you to know the effective ways of delegating.
Consider whether it is necessary
Before you delegate, you have to be sure that it is not the kind of job that can only be done by you alone. You have to only delegate the tasks that you are sure will not be messed up by others.
Consider that the task will not be a way of punishing the delegated person
For your delegation to achieve maximum results, it should not be much of a bother for the person you are delegating to. The job satisfaction should be considered greatly.
Give all the details
Before you delegate, ensure that the person you are assigning has all the details and has the whole picture of what is required of him or her. The delegating authority must not be caught off guard when there is a given mess that was not properly brought into the picture before the delegation
Give reasonable deadlines
When delegating you have to consider that the people assigned are meeting the deadlines to complete the tasks. You should also ensure that the deadlines are reasonable, and take into consideration how you would also meet in your own capacity.

When you delegate a certain task, you have to set a deadline for them not to slack and work on it.
