The new transformation in the world of marketing has been astounding. People living in different places all over the world have now come to interact using social networking sites, instant messaging services, voice on internet protocol, and countless other means of connecting.
It is now confirmed that more and more people are getting hooked on Internet friendship, and very soon (if not already) we are going to witness a kind of global citizenship that is going to change the world in a big way.
It is getting more and more likely now to see companies rushing to cash in by having social networking links on their websites or sponsoring campaigns and promotions through these profiles.
Already there are companies that are at the moment promising people to make huge gains just by tweeting out some information.
Sending Tweets is a way of social interaction that is sponsored by Twitter, a social networking site that grows by 300% each month. It is now estimated that over 500,000 people a day are enrolling with the main social networking sites - Facebook and MySpace.
53% of the female population in the US (those who hold over 80% of the purchasing power in households) participate in social media on a weekly basis, and 55% of that group are reading blogs on a weekly basis.
Any service or product selling company who can get this kind of market will start noticing a significant difference in their conversions.
As more and more companies start to align their businesses in ways to make gains from this new development, we are likely to see advertising moving further awa from the offline media to the online one.
We are also likely to see very great platforms where the networks can either lift your business or kill it.
While you’re working out your own formula for using social media marketing, you will need to come up with a strategic way of penetrating the networks while not in an irritating way like the spammers. You always want to avoid getting to the extent of ‘forcing an advertisement down the throat’ kind of approach to succeed in winning the social networks.
If you feel uncertain that you can do this and would like some help, or even if you know what you’re doing and just don’t have the time to maintain it all, the Get It Done Today Series is here to help. We can set up all of your social networks, your blog, and more - in a way that will grow your reach, build your list, and keep you from alienating people as you merge into the new revolution of social media marketing.

I agree that there are numerous benefits to social media marketing but they are weighted heavily on how well you can keep up to it. I find it’s incredibly easy to burn away the hours on the incredible number of social media sites that exist today.
