Remember! Unique content is VERY important, don’t over use your articles, submitting 1 article to a syndicator will result in traffic, but will not help with seo.

Find something to relieve stress. Writing day in and day out is exhausting. You don’t wanna be burn out if you are depending on your writing gig to put food on the table. So work hard, play harder.

Writing original articles involve lots of research work as well as reading other well written articles. To me it’s like an art of organizing your thoughts in paragraphs. It’s a pity most people intend to copy from already materials without even acknowledging the original writer.
If you’re interested in pursuing a career as a writer, be realistic. People who make their living as writers generally start to build their portfolio of published work as early as high school. It generally takes even the most dedicated writer several years before he can make a living off of the trade.

I do agree realism is important; however I think article writing and other online writing options can be an exception. Remember there are different types of writers, bloggers, article writers, sale page writers all have unique skill sets and differ greatly from book authors and copy editors. Even novice writers can build their skills and their business if they join their articles/blogs with a solid marketing strategy.

Article marketing definitely works, particularly for improving your site SEO with author bio-box links. However, it does take a while for the effects to kick in. That’s why a lot of people give up, which is a pity.
Two things help a lot: Writing articles that are informative and very niche-specific. Do this and the site your articles link to will move up the rankings more.
Also, post your articles to the biggest and busiest directories. There are heaps of lists online where you can find which ones these are.
I agree about article marketing. It is one of the best ways to work from home to earn some side money. And you can take a step further and find jobs as freelancers, now there’s some nice money to be made.
