How to motivate staff by delegation


Highly motivated employees will actually equal to high productivity. Many companies fail, where you find that the employees are so cowed and unable to make any contribution to the firm’s progress.

If you make the employees part of your organization, they will feel challenged to produce results. One way of motivating employees to make better performance is by doing a delegation of duties that is just. Your employees will be at home to work for you and, the chances of you being keen on supervision will be less. You have got to delegate in a just manner. You must not delegate as a form of punishment. If you do that, the company staff will not be motivated.

But how do you motivate staff through the delegation of duties?
You must be very keen on the way you will delegate the responsibilities to the staff.

The following will be points to consider before you use delegation as a form of motivation.

You must be self motivated as well in doing the duties that you are also delegating

You must ensure that the employees do not perceive that you are delegating to eliminate a boring task from your files. This will kill their morale, and make them have an negative attitude towards the job.
Your delegation should be well discussed
It is good to have a formal meeting to address the challenges in the duties that you are delegating. The staff members must understand the duties, and be motivated after understanding.
Understand individual differences
You have to realize that for the delegation to work in your company as a form of motivation, you have to consider the attitude of each employee in their individual capacities. There are those who may react in the negative way at first. You have to be keen because, less morale after the delegation will decrease their input.
